Taft, CA – Two Hospitalized After Car Accident on Highway 119

Taft, CA (February 7, 2019) – In Taft, police reported that two people were hospitalized with serious injuries following a car accident that took place Tuesday night on Highway 119. The accident took place at the highway’s intersection with Dustin Acres Road. The California Highway Patrol was called to the scene to investigate.

The accident took place around 6:23 p.m. between a red Corolla and a gray sedan. Those driving the vehicles have not yet been identified.

Police and responding firefighters completely blocked off the roadway after the accident. One person from each vehicle received serious injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Both vehicles were so damaged that they had to be towed from the scene. At this time, police are investigating and trying to determine fault.
