Coarsegold, CA – Two-Vehicle Accident Injures Three on Highway 41
Coarsegold, CA (February 14, 2019) – On Tuesday afternoon, around 1:00 p.m., a two-vehicle accident took place on Highway 41 between Road 200 and Yosemite Springs Parkway, which led to the injuries of three people.
The crash took place between a couple in a Toyota Highlander and a woman in a Mercury Sable. The 75-year-old man driving the Toyota attempted to pull out of a driveway into traffic and turn north onto Highway 41. However, when he did so, he backed directly into the path of the Mercury.
The 55-year-old woman in the Mercury tried to brake but was unable to do so in time and instead tried to veer to the left in order to avoid colliding with the SUV. However, her vehicle ended up striking the Toyota, causing both vehicles to end up on the highway.
The occupants of the Toyota, the man and his 63-year-old wife, were taken to the Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno with various types of pain. The driver of the Mercury suffered neck, chest, and abdominal pain and was taken to Kaiser Permanente in Fresno.
At this time, police are still working on their investigation of the accident.
We would like to extend our sympathies and heartfelt thoughts to those involved in this accident, with the hopes that all injured parties will receive a full recovery in a timely manner.
