Fresno, CA – Hector Sandoval Killed in Fatal Three-Vehicle Accident on Chestnut Avenue

Fresno, CA (February 18, 2019) On the night of February 17^th, a fatal three-vehicle accident occurred on South Chestnut Avenue at around 7:00 p.m., near East Church Avenue. Reports revealed that a Jeep Cherokee and a Toyota were both headed northbound on Chestnut Avenue when the Jeep was rear-ended by the Toyota and overturned as a result of the impact. The Toyota then crashed into a third vehicle, occupied by a 10-year-old girl and her grandparents, who were fortunately not harmed.

The Jeep’s occupants, a 19-year-old named Hector Sandoval and his passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene by the time the paramedics arrived to help. There were also two children in the Jeep, who were transported to Community Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

Although the Fresno Police Department arrested the driver of the Toyota for driving under the influence, the accident is still under investigation.
