Chatsworth, CA – Two Killed and Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on De Soto Avenue

Chatsworth, CA (February 18, 2019) On the afternoon of February 17^th, a multi-vehicle accident happened at the intersection of De Soto Avenue and Plummer Street. According to the reports, the accident, which took place at around 3:30 p.m., involved a white Toyota, a silver Infiniti, and a third vehicle that fled the scene.

The Infiniti was speeding southbound on De Soto Avenue when it crashed into a Toyota driving northbound as it was trying to turn left onto Plummer Street.

When the paramedics arrived, they found a man in his 50s and a woman in her 30s, both dead, inside of the Toyota. A 13-year-old girl who was also in the Toyota was found injured and transported to Northridge Hospital Medical Center under critical condition. Firefighters had to free a man in his 30s who was trapped inside of the Infiniti and also transported him to a nearby hospital for his injuries.

The police are currently searching for the third vehicle, which is described as a silver sedan and is believed to have struck the Toyota or the Infiniti right before fleeing the scene.
