Shell Beach, CA – Four Injured in Six-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101
Shell Beach, CA (February 18, 2019) – Police say that a six-vehicle crash involving five motor vehicles and an RTA bus took place Saturday morning on Highway 101, leading to injuries in four different parties.
The accident took place around 8:00 a.m., near Shell Beach Road. One person received the most severe injuries and was quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment, while others received minor injuries and were treated promptly.
The California Highway Patrol conducted an investigation, where they found that the driver of a Subaru quickly changed lanes to try and avoid a collision but instead sideswiped two of the vehicles on the highway.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash on the highway, including an RTA bus, which spiraled out of control with 13 passengers in it. Multiple lanes were blocked for quite some time while police investigated and paramedics treated those involved.
At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
