Pedestrian Accidents in California
Although there are California laws that require drivers to yield or come to a complete stop when they approach a pedestrian, whenever a pedestrian is walking outside of a marked crosswalk, they must yield to the right-of-way of oncoming vehicles. Pedestrians are some of the most vulnerable parties on our roadways, which is why drivers must afford them with every courtesy and ensure their safety. The police are currently investigating this accident to determine whether drugs or alcohol was a contributing factor in this dangerous crash.
For those who have been hit or have loved ones who have been hit by vehicles, there’s a possibility that a personal injury lawsuit can be filed with the help of a California personal injury lawyer, depending on the facts of the case.
