Bakersfield, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident in 4200 Block of Auburn Street

Bakersfield, CA (February 21, 2019) – On Tuesday, police responded to a fatal pedestrian accident that took place in the 4200 Block of Auburn Street.

According to police, the accident took the life of 29-year-old Daniel Tofalla-Espinoza. At the time, Tofalla-Espinoza had been riding his skateboard in the neighborhood when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle driving through the area.

Officers found that he had been attempting to cross the road and was not in a crosswalk at the time. Tofalla-Espinoza was quickly taken to the hospital but tragically pronounced deceased sometime after arrival.

Officials say that the driver stayed at the scene of the accident to cooperate with the investigation, which remains underway at this time.
