Banning, CA – Fatal Car Accident on 10 Freeway Involving SUV and Truck

Banning, CA (February 27, 2019) – On Tuesday afternoon, February 26, police reported that a car accident took place between an SUV and a semi-truck, resulting in one person losing their life.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway, near the exit for Highland Springs Avenue. Police and paramedics reported that there were three victims who were able to be removed from the wreckage. However, one suffered major injuries.

The victim who suffered major injuries was rushed to the hospital but tragically passed away while there. Their identity has not been released, pending notification of the next-of-kin.

Police spoke with several witnesses, who said that the semi-truck had been in the right lane when it suddenly veered to the left, causing it to collide with the SUV.

Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
