Emeryville, CA – Siblings Killed In I-80 Crash Were On Way To Visit Critically Ill Dad In Hospital

Emeryville, CA (March 2, 2019) – The terrible deaths of two sisters and a brother, and injury of another brother, were caused by an accident on Interstate 80. The tragic incident had a truly horrific twist: The four siblings were apparently going to visit their critically ill father in a San Francisco hospital when the incident occurred.

The departed victims have been identified as 26-year-old Eli Villarreal, 22-year-old Sara Villarreal, and 18-year-old Eva Villarreal. 17-year-old brother Aaron Villarreal is still in the hospital with severe injuries and is fighting for his life.

The foursome was driving west on I-80 around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday when they hit a big rig. The truck was illegally parked on the right shoulder of the freeway by the Powell Street exit. Speed and weather conditions may also have been part of the accident.
