Sacramento, CA – Three Vehicle Crash on I-80 Leaves Car Overturned
Sacramento, CA (March 3, 2019) – An accident between two cars and a box truck created a traffic snarl on the eastbound Interstate 80 on Thursday night, February 28th, near West El Camino Avenue.
The box truck was driving in the far-right lane and did not notice upcoming traffic slowing. It did not stop in due time and crashed into a Ford Fiesta, which then veered into the lane to the left, smashing into a Toyota Camry.
Both the box truck and the Camry landed off the roadway into a ditch, with the Camry being overturned. The box truck released diesel fuel into the roadway. Caltrans was called to clean up the mess.
The drivers of the two cars, both women, suffered major but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to UC Davis Hospital. The truck driver was unhurt.
