Anaheim, CA – Ricardo Monroy Killed in Head-on Collision on Cerritos Avenue

Anaheim, CA (March 4, 2019) – Police reported that a 61-year-old man identified as Ricardo Monroy was killed Sunday night, March 3^rd, in a head-on collision on Cerritos Avenue, while others were critically wounded in the crash.

The accident occurred around 7:35 p.m. on Cerritos Avenue, between Dallas Drive and Whitegate Road. Paramedics responded immediately to the scene and said that five people, Monroy included, were rushed to the hospital with a variety of injuries, some of which were quite severe. However, while there, Monroy tragically passed away.

The other four people involved in the collision are listed in critical condition at this time. One of the vehicles was occupied by four men, while the other vehicle only had one person in it.

Police are still attempting to determine liability through their investigation.
