Acampo, CA- Pedestrians Hit and Injured by Truck at N. Dustin and E. Collier Roads
Acampo, CA (April 23, 2019)- A big rig truck hit was involved in a pedestrian accident that injured two people in Acampo this morning at approximately 5:52 am.
The accident took place near Oak View Elementary School at North Dustin Road and East Collier Road. Two people were standing behind a semi truck talking when another semi truck pulled up behind them proceeded to hit them. It’s unclear at this time if one of the injured people was the driver of the first parked semi.
Both injured pedestrians sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital by emergency medical personnel.
The driver of the big rig that struck the pedestrians remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
The California Highway Patrol has opened an investigation into the crash.
