Accident Involving 3 Tractor-Trailers Causes Major Injuries in Los Banos

(June 13, 2018) A collision involving three semi tractor-trailers and one another vehicle was the cause of serious injuries on the I-5 north, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred near the Mercy Springs Road off-ramp at approximately 2:50 a.m. Multiple injuries were confirmed by authorities.

Reportedly, one semi tractor-trailer was severely damaged and overturned on the highway, although no information is available on the other two trucks that were allegedly involved. It is not certain at this time, but it is believed that the driver of a Sedan suffered a very serious head injury during the accident.

A dispatch report indicated that as many as two people were rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Additionally, the overturned truck spilled diesel fuel on the road and a heavy-duty tow truck had to be brought in to turn the semi-truck upright. An investigation into the cause of the crash is currently being conducted.
