Adelanto, CA- Two Killed in Collision on El Mirage Rd

Adelanto, CA (June 3, 2019)- A head-collision left two people dead and others injured on Friday.

The crash took place at approximately 9:47 pm on El Mirage Road near the El Mirage Liquor Market & Gas store. The California Highway Patrol, the San Bernardino County Fire Department, and AMR reported to the scene.

A white car and a red car were found at the crash site. Both cars sustained major front-end damage.

Two people from the white car passed away at the site of the accident. Three people from the red car experienced major injuries, while a fourth person received minor injuries.

H82 helicopters and Mercy Air air ambulances arrived at the scene to transport the injured to hospitals. One person was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital and another was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center by the air ambulances. Ground ambulances transported a critically injured victim and a victim with minor injuries to Antelope Valley Hospital.

The names of the deceased have not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Both directions of El Mirage Road were temporarily closed due to the accident.

The California Highway Patrol has opened an investigation into the cause of the crash.
