Adelanto, California – Traffic Collision at Daisy and Lupin Roads in Adelanto Leaves One Dead, Three Injured
Adelanto, California (June 24, 2018) – The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department reported that one woman was killed as the result of a traffic accident at the intersection of Daisy and Lupin Roads. The collision took place at roughly 3:19 PM on Friday, June 22, 2018. Department sources have identified the deceased victim as 55-year old Susan Nsubuga, a resident of Phoenix, Arizona. The identities of the other three people involved in the crash have not been disclosed to the public.
As the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department explained, Nsubuga had been riding as a passenger in the front seat of a Toyota Corolla, also occupied by two more females. As the Corolla was heading southbound on Daisy, a Kia Sidekick driven by an as-of-yet-unidentified man had been traveling westbound on Lupin Road. Without warning, the Kia crashed into the Corolla as both vehicles approached the intersection.
First responders pronounced Nsubuga dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the other two female passengers of the Corolla were airlifted to a trauma center to receive treatment for injuries, the extent of which is currently unknown.
The male driver of the Kia refused treatment and hospitalization. His current physical condition has not been released.
As per the report, authorities confirmed that the drivers of the Corolla and the Kia had been approaching the intersection of Lupin and Daisy at high speed and lost control. As a result, the two were unable to stop the vehicles in time, ultimately resulting in the crash. As the investigation continues, more information will be released to the public.
We offer our warmest thoughts and most loving prayers to the family of Susan Nsubuga during this difficult time. We also extend our kindest thoughts and prayers to the surviving female passengers of the Corolla and the male driver of the Kia and wish them a fast and efficient recovery.
