Aguanga, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Golf Cart at Rancho California RV Park
Aguanga, CA (November 29, 2018) – According to initial reports, after being struck by a golf cart at the Rancho California RV Park at about 10:00 on Tuesday morning a 77-year-old man was killed.
According to the reports, the victim was walking west on Santa Fe Lane. At approximately the same time, a 73-year-old resident of the Rancho California RV Park was driving his EZ-Go Golf Cart at roughly 10 miles per hour on Santa Fe Lane, coming from the opposite direction. The elderly pedestrian was struck by the golf cart and received serious bodily injuries. A California Fire helicopter crew airlifted the 77-year-old man to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, California. He died as a result of his injuries around 2:00 the same afternoon. The golf cart driver was transported to Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California as a precautionary measure. He was released a short time later.
The names of both men involved have not yet been released as the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
