Albany, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on 580 Freeway and 80 Freeway

Albany, CA (February 9, 2019) – Last night, February 8, a multi-vehicle collision took place at the intersection of 580 Freeway and 80 Freeway around 10:31 p.m. The California Highway Patrol immediately came to the scene.

The report stated that three vehicles crashed for reasons that have not yet been identified. One of the vehicles was struck with force and its airbags deployed.

An ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident so that paramedics could assist those who received injuries. The number of victims and their conditions is not yet known at this time.

The vehicles blocked multiple lanes of the roadway and made it difficult for drivers to pass through for some time. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles.
