Apple Valley, CA – One Person Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident at Intersection

Apple Valley, CA (February 4, 2019) – Last night, February 3, one person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle accident that took place at a local intersection in Apple Valley. The accident took place at 7:30 p.m. in the intersection of Bear Valley and Joshua Streets.

A 40-year-old resident of Apple Valley was driving a Chevy Malibu when he collided with a truck for reasons that are not yet known. The driver of the Malibu passed away at the scene.

At this time, police have not released the name of the driver, as the family is still being notified. One passenger in the Malibu, who has also not been named, was taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries but is expected to be okay.

The roadway was closed between Central Road and Highway 18 for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene. At this time, an investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
