Crosswalk Injuries in California
Recently, California made it legal for pedestrians to begin crossing a roadway after the crosswalk light has started its countdown. What this means for drivers is is that they may find more pedestrians attempting to hurry through the crosswalk before the countdown ends. When approaching a crosswalk, drivers must remain alert for pedestrians and yield to them at all times.
Unfortunately, drivers distracted by texting, talking to passengers, applying make-up or driving under the influence of substances can cause major pedestrian injuries. If you have been injured in a pedestrian accident, a personal injury lawyer can assist you in obtaining the compensation you deserve to cover your medical bills, lost wages, and additional costs.
