Apple Valley, CA – Update: Jackie Roberts Barron and Desiree Ramirez Injured in Crash at Central Road
Apple Valley, CA – (November 29, 2018) – According to authorities, 34-year-old Jackie Roberts-Barron and 43-year-old Desiree Ramirez, all of Apple Valley were injured in a traffic collision Wednesday morning. The accident took place just before 6:00 am on November 28th at Central Road and Powhatan Road.
Reportedly, a 2000 black Honda Civic and a 2006 Chevy Avalanche pickup truck driven by Roberts-Barron, were approaching an intersection in Apple Valley when the female driver of the Honda failed to stop and t-boned the driver’s side of the Civic. Responding firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the victims. The driver of the Honda was found suffering from major injuries and paramedics attempted to stabilize her, but sadly despite rescue efforts, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. The victim’s name has not been released as they work to identify and notify the family. Roberts-Barron suffered severe injuries and was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters extricated him and he was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center. The patient was then airlifted to a nearby trauma center for emergency treatment. Ramirez was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment of severe injuries. Authorities shut down Central Road between Shawnee Road and Ottawa Road so authorities can conduct an on-scene investigation.
As of now, this accident is currently being investigated.
