Chain-Reaction Accidents in California
Multiple vehicle car accidents in California are common due to the sheer amount of traffic moving along major freeways of California with up to 6 or 8 lanes moving in any one direction and thousands of vehicles driving side by side, especially during rush hour. When three or more vehicles are caught up in a crash, claims can often not work out without litigation.
These days, lanes are more numerous and less wide. This means there is a small amount of room for error. Many times, vehicles are following each other too closely, stopping abruptly, or changing lanes without signaling without watching for other drivers. This, in turn, can cause accidents between three or more vehicles. It only takes one driver who isn’t moving at a safe speed or distance to cause other cars to rear end another vehicle or veer into another lane. All of this can lead to a chain-reaction crash.
