Bakersfield, CA – Bicyclist Injured in Car Crash on Oswell Street and Potomac Avenue

Bakersfield, CA (July 24, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a bicyclist who suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Oswell Street and Potomac Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. The injurious accident that reportedly resulted in one injured party apparently took place at around 1:03 p.m. in Bakersfield.

Emergency responders were called to the scene along with the police in order to assist the injured victim. Paramedics immediately administered aid at the scene, although it is unknown as to whether or not the cyclist had to be transported to a hospital for further treatment. Authorities are sure that the victim was struck by a motorist at the intersection, however, the reason the accident occurred is currently unclear.
