Bakersfield, CA – Car Accident on East California Street

Bakersfield, CA (December 30, 2018) On the 30^th of December, a car accident happened at the intersection of East California Avenue and South Owens Street. According to the reports, a white 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe struck another vehicle and pushed through a fence and onto the property of a business. The driver of the Tahoe has been identified as 19-year-old Jesus Martinez-Mendoza and was suspected to be under the influence at the time of the accident. When the police arrived at the scene, they found Mendoza’s vehicle vacant but eventually found him nearby and arrested him. The police are currently searching for three other Hispanic males that fled the scene. No further information has released regarding this accident.
