Bakersfield, CA – Victor Hugo Garay Jr. Dies in Fatal Accident On Highway 99
Bakersfield, CA (May 17, 2019) – Authorities have confirmed a fatal rollover accident that occurred on Highway 99 near the off-ramp for California Ave. The crash took place on Thursday evening, May 16th.
The victim was 30-year-old Victor Hugo Garay Jr. He was riding as a passenger in a Honda which was reported to have lost control of the vehicle while traveling southbound on US-99. The crash also caused a FedEx commercial vehicle to turn over on its side after coming in contact with the scene.
It is suspected that the driver of the Honda was possibly under the influence of drugs or other intoxicants.
The commercial driver was not harmed in the accident.
The investigation into the crash is still underway, and it is likely that more information will be released as it continues.
