Barstow, CA – Major Injuries Sustained in 15 Freeway Accident near Lenwood Road

Barstow, CA – (November 21, 2018) – Authorities are investigating a major traffic collision that occurred Wednesday morning. The accident happened at approximately 10:46 am on the 15 freeway, just south of the Lenwood Road on-ramp.

Reportedly, three unidentified vehicles were traveling on Interstate 15 approaching Lenwood Road when for unknown reasons they collided into one another. Barstow police and firefighters responded to the scene to help an unknown number of victims who sustained major injuries. Two of the vehicles involved had their airbags deploy upon impact of the collision. An ambulance was used to transport an unspecified number of people to a local hospital for treatment. Tow trucks cleared the roadway of debris and wreckage. Details identifying the people involved in the accident were not disclosed by authorities.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating this accident.
