Buellton, CA – Two Big Rig Trucks Collide along Northbound Highway 101 near Santa Rosa Road

Buellton, CA (July 26, 2018) – A local news source reported that two big rig trucks were involved in a traffic accident that took place along the northbound lanes of Highway 101 in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Road. The incident occurred at some time in the morning on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Authorities have identified the truck drivers as 40-year old Gargis Maged and 40-year old Luis Cardoza.

Based on the report, Maged was driving a tanker truck along Highway 101 when, for indeterminate reasons, he swerved out of the northbound lanes and clipped a nearby guardrail. As a result of the impact, the truck lost control. At the same time, Cardoza was driving a flatbed semi-truck and tried to veer out of the way, ultimately crashing into the rear end of Maged’s vehicle.
