Butte County, CA – One Person Loses Life in Head-on Collision on Hwy 70

Butte County, CA (January 21, 2019) – In Butte County, one person was killed in a tragic head-on collision and another person was left with major injuries on Highway 70.

The crash took place in the area of Cox Lane between Palermo and Robinson’s Corner. Police said that one vehicle had been traveling at 90 mph when the vehicles collided with one another for reasons that are unknown. One of the vehicles caught on fire following the accident.

Paramedics responded with an ambulance and one person was airlifted to the hospital. Police closed down the highway so that victims could receive help and they could investigate the crash. The investigation into the matter continues at this time.
