Buttonwillow, California – Two Fatalities Reported after Deadly Collision on 5 Freeway

Buttonwillow, California (July 5, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported two fatalities as the result of a deadly head-on collision that took place on the 5 Freeway, south from the Lerdo Highway. The incident occurred at approximately 12:35 AM in the early morning hours of this morning on Thursday, July 05, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the deceased drivers during this time.

As per the CHP report, two vehicles were traveling down the 5 Freeway when, for indeterminate reasons, they crashed head-on along the traffic lanes. CHP confirmed both drivers died as a result of the impact, and no one else was inside either vehicle.
