Cajon Pass CA – Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 15 Near Oak Hill Rd.
Cajon Pass, CA (April 10, 2019) – Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries after a semi-truck accident on Wednesday. The crash happened on Interstate 15 near Oak Hill Road at approximately 3:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the tractor-trailer collided with a red sedan for unknown reasons. A second accident involving a white Acura and a silver vehicle occurred at the same time, but whether a connection exists between the two accidents is currently unknown.
Due to high winds, an air ambulance requested by emergency personnel was unable to land and transport the victims. Instead, a ground ambulance took them to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
We wish those injured quick recoveries.
Accidents with Big Rigs in California
The size of tractor-trailers can be intimidating for drivers of other vehicles, and with good reason. When a tractor-trailer overturns, severe damage may occur to other vehicles involved in the accident. If the big rig is carrying dangerous contents that spill into the road, even more vehicles may collide.
