Capitola, CA – 1 Killed in Crash on 41st Ave Near Clares St
Capitola, CA (March 27, 2019) – 41st Avenue near Clares Street was the site of an accident, around 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, that left a 60-year-old woman dead.
According to reports, the crash happened when the victim’s Smart car was hit by a van. The impact from the van caused the Smart car to collide with a Metro city bus.
The coroner’s office has not released the name of the victim at the time of this report.
Part of 41st Avenue was closed due to the investigation and to clear the scene. The van driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. No other injuries were reported.
While an investigation is ongoing, law enforcement officials reportedly do not believe drugs or alcohol to have been involved.
