Car Accident t 680 Freeway Near Calaveras Road in San Jose

(June 24, 2018) – According to The California Highway Patrol, a woman was injured after a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles occurred Friday night in San Jose. The crash was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday night on the 680 Freeway, just east of Calaveras Road.

Reportedly, a black BMW sedan, a white Honda Civic and quite possibly a third vehicle were all involved in the crash Friday night. One female occupant was apparently trapped inside the Honda Civic after the collision.  Paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after the crash and were able to successfully extract the woman from the Honda. While it is currently unknown as to whether or not the woman was transported to a hospital for treatment, it has been confirmed that she suffered at least minor injuries in the crash.

Authorities at the scene reportedly have reason to believe that one of the vehicles involved may have been racing prior to the crash. The exact certainty of this notion along with all other aspects of the crash is currently under investigation.
