As part of further investigations, forensic teams will analyze the crash site through photographic and physical evidence to formulate the pattern of events that led up to the accident. Negligent/distracted driving and potential substance abuse (e.g. drunk driving, drug use) can be held into consideration. Sudden mechanical failure or an inability to comply with traffic laws may have also been contributing factors to the accident, as well. In addition, teams will determine if the drivers were recklessly traveling above the legal speed limit.
Depending on the final verdict, the non-guilty parties may file a personal injury lawsuit against the culprit. Legal support will provide compensation for unfortunate circumstances like medical bills or physical and psychological suffering.
