Carlsbad, CA. Bicycle Accident Injures 16-Year-Old Girl on College Boulevard

Carlsbad, CA (June 26, 2018) – According to a local and reliable news source, a teenage bicyclist was injured following an accident on College Boulevard in Carlsbad on Monday morning. The accident happened at approximately 11:00 a.m. close to Calavera Hills Elementary School. Police reported that a 16-year-old girl who was riding her bicycle in the bike lane was hit by a vehicle that was driving down Harbor Boulevard.

The vehicle was driving south when the man behind the wheel lost control and struck the young girl just before crashing into an electrical box. Reportedly, the 64-year-old driver of the vehicle had suffered a medical emergency just before the accident. The teenage bicyclist had to be quickly taken to a local hospital to undergo treatment for at least minor injuries. The man involved in the crash was also taken to a hospital for evaluation. Neither the names nor the conditions of either victim have been released.
