Carmichael, CA. 1 Dead in Fatal Crash at Engle Road and Garfield Avenue

Carmichael, CA. (July 3, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a serious accident that occurred at the intersection of Engle Road and Garfield Avenue. The accident reportedly occurred at approximately 12:35 Tuesday afternoon.

At least one person was reported to have died after the vehicle they were driving rolled over and crashed into both a telephone pole and a tree. The impact of the crash caused major damage to the vehicle. The first reports that were made available stated that there were minor injuries sustained in the accident. Unfortunately, that report changed to address major injuries and at least one fatality.

It is currently unknown at this time how many people were in the vehicle or involved in the crash. Paramedics were immediately on the scene to assist the victims but it is not known if anyone was taken to the hospital or how many were injured. A detailed investigation is ongoing in order to determine liability, as well as to make an effort to establish exactly how the accident occurred.
