Carmichael, CA – Charlene Benso Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run at Winding Way and Garfield Ave

Carmichael, CA (June 28, 2019) – The Sacramento County Sheriff-Coroner has identified a victim who was killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Saturday, June 22nd. The accident took the life of 63-year-old Charlene Benso at the intersection of Winding Way and Garfield Ave. The time of the collision was not released by police officials.

Benso sustained severe injuries at the scene of the collision and was pronounced dead by paramedics and responders.

The crash is still under investigation, and local authorities are seeking information that may reveal the identity of the driver who is responsible for the deadly hit-and-run accident.
