Carmichael, CA – Motorcyclist Injured Following Hit-and-Run Accident at Madison Avenue and Schuyler Drive

Carmichael, CA (September 1, 2018) – According to a report released by the California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist was injured following a collision with an alleged hit-and-run driver at or near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Schuyler Drive on Friday, August 31. The accident was reported to have transpired at approximately 3:37 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed that they had received a call about the accident involving a motorcyclist and one other vehicle that fled the scene at the intersection. Paramedics were quickly called to the scene in order to attend to the victim. The injured motorcyclist was found to have been left at the scene with unspecified injuries. The name and the current condition of the victim have not been released at this time.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the rider was reported to have left the scene and did not stop to render aid or cooperate with authorities. According to dispatch, the suspects’ vehicle was located, however, it was not clear as to whether or not the driver had been apprehended. There is currently no more information available in regards to the events that caused this accident, and authorities are actively pursuing a thorough investigation.
