Carson, CA – Man Killed in DUI Pedestrian Accident on Alameda Street

Carson, CA (February 25, 2019) – Early on Saturday, police responded to a DUI pedestrian accident that took place on Alameda Street involving a drunk driver.

48-year-old Douglas Salguero had been leaving the El Tenampa restaurant and bar just south of Monroe Street around 12:30 a.m. when the accident took place. Police say that Salguero was standing in the roadway and waiting for a taxi to pass when a Prius hit him going about 40-45 mph.

According to police, he passed away at the scene of the accident.

The driver, who remained at the scene, was believed to be driving under the influence at the time of the crash. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
