Castaic, Los Angeles County, CA (July 31, 2018) – Local news sources reported that multiple people sustained injuries as the result of a brutal collision between an SUV and a motorcycle that took place along the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 Freeway, in the vicinity of Hasley Canyon Road and Newhall Ranch Road. Medical personnel and rescue crews first responded to the incident a little after 10:55 AM in the morning on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the four victims involved in the crash has been revealed.

Based on the initial news report, a black Lexus SUV and a motorcycle were traveling along Interstate 5 when, for indeterminate reasons, the two vehicles collided near Hasley Canyon and Newhall Ranch. As a result of the impact, the motorcycle slid off the main road and crashed into a center highway divider. After the recorded time of 10:55 AM, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and responding paramedics were dispatched to the crash site to assist the victims.

Officials confirmed two victims had sustained extensive trauma during the impact, and paramedics were forced to take alternative measures for transportation. Likewise, two more victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. The current physical conditions of all four patients have not been disclosed.
