Castro Valley, CA – BART Train Kills Pedestrian near Eden Canyon Road
Castro Valley, CA –  (December 11, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed by a BART train Monday morning in Castro Valley. The crash occurred just before 11 am on December 10th in the area of Eden Canyon Road.
Reportedly, a pedestrian was attempting to cross the railroad tracks between the Castro Valley and the Dublin stations on Monday morning when an oncoming BART train failed to stop and hit the victim. The Alameda County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene and discovered the victim lying on the tracks. Sadly the pedestrian died of the injuries sustained in the accident.  Both Stations shut down the train’s services as officials worked to clear the roadway and conduct an on-scene investigation.
