Chino Hills, CA – One Dead, Two Injured after Deadly Accident at Rancho Hills Drive and Windmill Creek Road
Chino Hills, CA (July 30, 2018) – Orange County local news reported that one person died and two more sustained injuries as the result of a deadly accident that took place at the junction of Rancho Hills Drive and Windmill Creek Road. The incident happened at approximately 12:30 AM in the early morning hours on Monday, July 30, 2018. Officials have identified the deceased victim as 62-year old Westminster resident Livier Ruvalcaba. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the driver and second passenger involved in the crash has been revealed.
Based on a report from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a Toyota Tundra pickup truck had been traveling down Rancho Hills Drive when, for indeterminate reasons, the vehicle did not decrease speed at the intersection with Windmill Creek. As a result, the truck swerved off the road and plowed into a tree. Officials determined Ruvalcaba was immediately killed during the impact.
Later, medical personnel transported the driver and second passenger to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment for injuries of an unspecified nature. The current conditions of the victims have not been disclosed.

Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in San Bernardino County
Presently, officials are unaware of what circumstances led to the crash at Rancho Hills and Windmill Creek. As the investigation continues, forensic teams will inspect the Toyota Tundra and examine photos of the crash site to determine if mechanical issues or system failure forced the truck off the road. Likewise, officials will consider if the driver had consumed alcohol or drugs prior to operating the vehicle or had simply failed to comply with basic traffic laws.
In the light of these events, the members of Ruvalcaba’s family may have the choice to file a wrongful death lawsuit and, ultimately, receive compensation for tragic inconveniences including funeral expense and the tragic loss of a loved one.
Furthermore, the non-guilty injured victim may wish to file a personal injury lawsuit against the culprit to receive compensation for medical bills, painful injuries, and additional inconveniences.
