Cloverdale, CA – One Killed and Three Injured in Fatal Accident on Highway 101

Cloverdale, CA (March 4, 2019) – Police reported that one person lost their life and three were injured in a fatal accident in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 yesterday, March 3, around 8:25 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol received reports of an accident that caused one vehicle to go off the side of the highway and crash into a tree. The vehicle was identified as a 2011 Honda Pilot.

A 47-year-old driver had been traveling northbound when they were suddenly involved in a crash that caused the vehicle to swerve to the right and fall down a wooded embankment, striking a tree.

A female passenger in the vehicle passed away while three others received a variety of injuries. The most seriously injured of the passengers was a 12-year-old boy.

The injured individuals were taken to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Authorities continue their investigation of the accident at this time.
