Compton, CA- Police Chase on East Compton and North Long Beach Blvds Leaves One Hurt
Compton, CA (June 25, 2019)- A police chase in pursuit of a stolen vehicle left three people injured at East Compton Boulevard and North Long Beach Boulevard on Monday at approximately 9:30 am.
Reportedly, officials attempted to pull over a driver in a stolen car when the driver took off, causing the officials to pursue the vehicle
During the pursuit, the driver of the suspected stolen car struck a car driven by 55-year-old Jose Mejia. He sustained non-life-threatening yet serious injuries, including a back injury and lacerations.
A woman at a nearby bus stop sustained minor injuries when she was hit by crash debris.
The drive being pursued, a man thought to be in his 30s, also suffered injuries in the crash. He was arrested by authorities.
