Concord, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Accident at Port Chicago Highway

Concord, CA (February 3, 2019) – Last night, February 2, police reported that a pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident that took place at the Port Chicago Highway and Arnold Industrial Way. The accident happened around 6:20 p.m.

At the time, the pedestrian whose name has not been released, was crossing the highway when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle that had been headed southbound at the time.

The driver who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and worked with authorities. First responders arrived and found the pedestrian lying in the roadway where they attempted to assist him. However, he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Police confirmed that drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the accident but they continue to investigate the circumstances at this time.
