Contra Costa, CA – 2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Pile-Up on Hwy 4 at Port Chicago Hwy

Contra Costa, CA (March 18, 2019)- A pile-up involving up to seven vehicles took place around 5:00 a.m. at Highway 4 at the Port Chicago Highway interchange.

Details are scant concerning this Bay Area collision.

The accident caused injuries in two people. The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred when one vehicle struck another, starting a chain reaction of crashes. The cause of the original accident was not available at the time of the report.

The CHP’s investigation is ongoing.
