Corona, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer Results in Injuries on 91 West Freeway

Corona, CA (July 25, 2018) – A semi tractor-trailer was apparently involved in an injurious crash with up to five other vehicles on the 91 west Freeway at Green River Road Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash that resulted in injuries was reported to have taken place around 6:14 a.m.

The reports that were released stated that the crash was caused by a blue tractor-trailer when it crashed into the rear-end of a black GMC pickup truck. Other vehicles became involved in the wreck as the GMC was pushed into the vehicle in front of it, causing a sort of a domino effect that resulted in damage to several other vehicles along the freeway. The other four vehicles that allegedly became involved included a black sedan and a gray Ford pickup, along with two other vehicles.

Officials from the California Highway Patrol confirmed that the driver of the GMC sustained back and neck injuries that were classified as moderate. Emergency responders transported the injured victim to a local medical facility. Traffic delays ensued due to the crash as the fire department was dispatched to the scene. The Green River Road exit had to be closed down for at least three hours as authorities began their investigation.

No other information regarding the cause of this collision or the names and conditions of those involved have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
