Costa Mesa, CA- Fatal Motorcycle Accident on 405 Fwy near Harbor Boulevard

Costa Mesa, CA (November 2, 2018) – A motorcyclist lost his life after colliding with a vehicle Friday morning on a freeway in Costa Mesa. The incident transpired in the early morning hours at about 5:37 am on the northbound 405 Freeway near Harbor Blvd. At this time, there is no detailed information identifying the injured victims involved in this collision.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle and a black Hyundai Elantra were driving on Interstate 405 early Friday morning when for reasons that are still not known, the vehicles collided as they were approaching the Harbor Boulevard exit. EMS arrived on the scene of the crash and discovered the rider down in the roadway.  Paramedics attempted to revive the motorcyclist, but despite rescue efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The physical condition of the other people involved in this deadly accident was not known at this time.

This accident is currently under investigation. More information will be released to the public once it becomes available.
