Costa Mesa, CA – Kevin Bash Arrested In Fatal DUI Accident on Interstate 55

Costa Mesa, CA – (November 19, 2018) – According to local authorities, one woman was killed in a DUI car accident that happened late Sunday night in Costa Mesa. The wreck happened at approximately 11:16 pm on November 18th on the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway near Mesa Drive.

Reportedly, a woman was driving a Toyota Corolla heading northbound on the freeway when she was suddenly rear-ended by a Dodge Dakota driven by 26-year-old Kevin Michael Bash, of Whittier. The force of the impact caused the woman’s car to become engulfed in flames. Firefighters rushed to the scene and put out the fire but sadly the driver died at the scene. Bash was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of DUI.

The California Highway Patrol has assumed authority over this investigation.
