Crash in Placerville Claims at Least One Life

(June 14, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that at least one person was fatally injured Thursday afternoon in Placerville. The accident occurred at approximately 2:21 p.m. at the intersection of Michael Way and Pleasant Valley Road.

According to the report, a silver sedan and a white Chevrolet pickup truck collided with one another for reasons that are still yet to determine. The impact of the collision forced the pickup to roll over before coming to a rest approximately fifty feet off of the roadway. The pickup eventually landed on its side, and the driver is the one who is believed to have died.

Paramedics and law enforcement were quick to arrive on the scene in an attempt to assist any and all victims. Unfortunately, when they arrived they found one person unresponsive. That person died at the scene. The identity of the victim has yet to be made available and is pending notification of loved ones. The crash remains under investigation in an effort to determine who was at fault for the collision. Our deepest condolences go out the victim and their family and loved ones.
