Crash on 5 Freeway in Lebec Kills 1 and Injures 2
Lebec, (June 25, 2018) – According to a local and reliable news source, one person was sadly killed and another was injured in a crash that took place on Interstate 5 Freeway in Lebec. Reports stated that the accident occurred at approximately 9:07 a.m. Sunday morning. The tragic collision occurred in the northbound lane of 5 Freeway.
Reportedly, the reason that a gray Infinity sedan and a white pickup truck collided is still unknown. The impact caused the pickup truck to crash into a fence while the Infinity was sent off the roadway before it overturned. Paramedics were quick to arrive on the scene where they confirmed that one person had died as a result of the collision. That persons’ name is being withheld until the family has been notified.
Additionally, two other people were sent to the hospital for treatment. One of the other victims was reportedly suffering from serious injuries, while the other persons’ injuries were classified as moderate. While the Lebec on-ramp was shut down in order to begin an investigation, that investigation is currently ongoing.
