Crash on Highway 254 Near Maple Hills Road Injures 2
(June 24, 2018) – According to a reliable news source, two people were injured after a motor vehicle accident in Garberville, early Saturday morning. The crash took place on Highway 254, north of Maple Hills Road at approximately 1:35 a.m. Reportedly, Karen Lynn Ritter, 34, was driving her 2017 Hyundai Elantra on Highway 254, southbound when she veered into the northbound lanes of the highway and crashed into an embankment.
Ritter was apparently ejected from the vehicle, and the exact condition of her injuries is unknown at this time. According to officials, a young passenger by the name of Maria Cristina Salazar, 26, was also hurt in the wreck. She reportedly suffered moderate injuries as a result of the crash. The California Highway Patrol along with Miranda Volunteer Fire Department, Redway Volunteer Fire Department, Weott-Cal Fire, and City Ambulance all responded to the crash.
